Fried Okra

Ever since I left the southern states Okra hasn't been easy to find. So when I happen to stumble upon it I have to get some. Fried Okra is definitely a favorite of ours and is super easy to make if you can find Okra that is.

Ingredients
4 cups cut okra
6 cups vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup buttermilk  
1 Tablespoon House Seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic powder)
Ranch Dressing for dipping

Directions
1.) In a large pot heat oil to 350 degrees or until a wooden spoon placed in the oil starts to bubble
2.) Pour the buttermilk over the okra and toss to coat
3.) Mix the flour and House Seasoning
4.) Place the okra in the flour mixture and toss; shake off any access flour
5.) Fry until golden brown about 10 minutes
