A Walk with my Dog

Spending time outdoors awakens my soul. Ever since college my husband and I would often seek rest in natures bounty. The first time we met we were actually hiking in the Appalachians. Since we've moved to the Midwest the great outdoors experience hasn't been the same or as easily accessible. But I've not given up! For not only the survival of myself but of my dog.

Yesterday me and my girl hopped in the car and drove to one of the local lakes. Getting outside was just what we needed!

Lucky for me we got a new camera. My first DSLR! It was time for one considering our old camera would completely black out when trying to take a picture. So I brought my new camera along on our adventure. We took time to enjoy the beauty around us and I'm happy I was able to capture some of it.

This new camera has been fun to figure out and boy do I have a lot to learn. If you have any tips or reading recommendations that would help me out please let me know. Also I want you to tell me which photo from our adventure is your favorite and why. Hey I know there are people reading this! I have a counter at the bottom at this page. I figure that I have a decent following for just starting out unless it's my mother checking my blog every hour :) You better start giving me some feedback or I won't be motivated to write anymore. I'll look forward to hearing from you!

This is my girl Blanca. She's a Husky, Lab mix.

She was hunting a frog, which was quite funny to watch.

I call this Infestation. This pretty flower was covered in little yellow bugs. Can you see them?

It was like this bird was a part of the tree.

Blanca had lots of fun!

  1. I like the first one of the tree/branches because of the contradicting presence of dead tree and lush greenery all around! :)
